Hafa Adai Members,
I hope everyone has been able to visit and enjoy the Club over the summer. We had a very active summer with sailing classes scheduled every day of the week during July.A big thank you again to the numerous volunteers who made that happen!
As most everyone is aware, the Governor announced a change in gathering guidelines starting this week. Beginning Monday, August 23, 2021, gatherings on Guam are restricted to 100vaccinatedpeople or less. In regard to this, gatherings are considered two or more people gathered for a singular purpose.
Please ensure that you and your guests follow the new gathering guidelines while at the Club.
No unvaccinated people should gather at the Club*.Unvaccinated people may still use the Club
facilities and go sailing on an individual basis, but no unvaccinated people should be gathering (again, gathering means 2 or more people together).
As part of carrying out the Governor’s Executive Order, you may be asked to show proof of vaccination if you are gathering at the club. Per the Order, an accepted form of proof is written self-attestation. This may be accomplished by completing the sign-in sheet at the Club which will be updated with the following wording: “BY COMPLETING THIS SIGN-IN SHEET I ATTEST THAT I HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST ONE SHOT OF A COVID PREVENTION VACCINE AUTHORIZED BY THE U.S. FDA OR WHO.” Please be sure to complete the sign-in sheet if you gather, or have another proof of vaccination ready for review, such as a CDC card.*
*Note: members of an immediate family or a household are exempted from this restriction. Immediate family members or household members who are unvaccinated may continue to gather.
Face masks, social distancing and hygiene guidelines remain in place unchanged.
Again, please ensure that these guidelines are followed by you and your guests while at the Club and the Order remains in effect. As you may be aware, starting September 6, 2021, fines will be issued to individuals and organizations violating these restrictions. Please, do not be the cause of a fine for the Club.
Thank you for your continued support of the Club!
